Cheers to Liverpool! I checked my grades online, and I passed the course with distinction! As of 13 December 2007, I will hold a MA in Science Fiction Studies.

For those of you not in the know: grades in the UK do not directly correlate to those given in the US. The UK grading system works thus: If you get a 50 or above, you pass. A grade of 70 or above is a distinction. It’s difficult to earn a distinction, because the system is heavily weighted to the normal pass range of grades. I worked my ass off to earn a distinction, and I’m proud to have achieved that goal.

I wish that I could make it back for graduation, but I’ll have to graduate in absentia due to the cost of flying back.
