Paul Di Filippo, the science fiction author, reviews The Cult of LEGO on Barnes and Noble’s website. It is worth the read. The take away: He built really awesome multi-storeyed marble mazes with his Legos.

Lego’s newest version of the Millennium Falcon is the truest version yet to what we see in the original Star Wars film. Go here for more views of the Falcon’s interior to see why. I will have to save my lunch money to get one of these to build!

The Legotown Space series from the 1980s is among my favorite all-time series from Lego. However, I do like the updated Lego City Space series that is now available. Watch the advertisement above to see Lego Space’s updated look.

While I am posting on Lego, here is a UK advertisement from the late 1980s for Lego Space Blacktron sets. Those were good sets to build and I loved reusing those bricks for other projects.

A Modular Life has a small collection of cool Lego print ads from years past here. I particularly like the Lego Brain model pictured above. If I have some free time, I would like to make a smaller scale brain with Lego bricks.

From Bricks to Bothans posted pictures of the upcoming Super Star Destroyer set from Lego. Darth Vader’s flagship from The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi looks most impressive. It includes minifigs of Darth Vader, Admiral Firmus Piett, IG-88, Dengar, and Bossk. Unfortunately, like the awesome Death Star set, it is priced out of my budget at $399, but I am sure some luck Lego builders will enjoy it regardless of its high cost.

More Lego Star Wars sets are in the works! It looks like we will see an expansion to the Rebel base on Hoth from The Empire Strikes back. I missed the original Hoth Base set, but I suspect it will be a fun build in my future after I have a permanent job. Go here for pictures: First images of upcoming 7879 Hoth Echo Base | The Brothers Brick | LEGO Blog.

More Star Wars Lego goodness from The Brothers Brick: Click through for pictures of Marshal Banana’s 10,000 piece Lego Star Wars Sandcrawler that measures over 3 feet long. It is amazing that someone has the ability to create something this detailed with Lego, and it is equally amazing that they love Jawas enough to dedicate their craft to their humble technoscientific roving home.
