Stargate SG-1 and Odyssey 5

I recently began watching Stargate SG-1 from the first season on the recommendation of my Postcolonialism professor, Masood Raja.  For some reason, I never started watching SG-1 (perhaps due to its skiffy associations).  I’m up to the seventh episode, “The Nox.”  It’ll take me awhile to work my way through the series.  However, I can’t wait to get further along to see Ben Browder and Claudia Black (both from Farscape).

Another show I’m watching is a Canadian-produced SF television show, Odyssey 5.  It stars one of my all-time favorite actors, Peter Weller.  This show is a new one to me.  The premise of the show is that a team of astronauts in orbit witness the destruction of the Earth, and are given the opportunity (by the alien Seeker played by John Neville) to travel back in time five years in an attempt to stop the cataclysm.  I’ve only seen the pilot thus far, so I’ll report more on this in a future posting.
