Post-Holiday Post Office Blues

Every day immediately following a holiday, the post office gets slammed by folks needing to mail things. Why not bring an extra clerk onboard for these rush days? Leaving a teller position empty when the line stretches out the door really grinds my gears. FYI: I had enough time to browse the app store, download the wordpress app, and write this post. I’m still fifth in line.

I am a professor of English at the New York City College of Technology, CUNY whose teaching includes composition and technical communication, and research focuses on 20th/21st-century American culture, science fiction, neuroscience, and digital technology.
