Immediate Past President Lisa Yaszek sent out the 2013-2014 SFRA candidate statements . You can find them here or pasted below.
After serving as the SFRA’s first publicity director and current vice president, I am now running for president (as you can also see below in the list of candidate statements). I have contributed to our current initiatives–some of which are still being implemented, and I would very much like to see these through under my watch. I hope that you will support me in that goal with your votes.
Good luck all around–we certainly have a very strong selection of candidates in this election!
Last night, Science Fiction Research Association Immediate Past-President Adam Frisch announced the 2011-2012 election results on the email listserv (and the official site here):
It is now official. The following 2011-2012 SFRA Executive Council Members have been elected:
President: Ritch Calvin
Vice-President: Jason Ellis
Treasurer: Patrick Sharp
Secretary: Susan George
Thank you to all of the candidates for their willingness to serve, and to the many SFRA members who voted.
It has been a pleasure and an honor for me to have served on SFRA’s Executive Council during the past four years. I have every confidence that SFRA’s new group of officers will lead our organization to ever greater heights of excellence.
Adam Frisch, SFRA Immediate Past President
It was a good race, and it was much cleaner than the campaigns here in Ohio. I am very happy to be the next SFRA Vice-President, and I look forward to working with the other newly elected members of the Executive Committee to continue developing the organization and increasing the member rolls.
Adam Frisch sent out a reminder to the SFRA email list that the deadline for postmarking this year’s election ballots is Friday. Candidate statements, including mine for Vice President, are available at the link below:
Just a reminder that the deadline for mailing ballots to vote for the 2011-2012 SFRA Executive Committee is this coming Friday, October 1st.
The election statement of all the candidates are still available on the organization’s website; see: http://www.sfra.org/node/102 .
SFRA Immediate Past President
Remember to cast your vote, and I hope that you will vote for me as Vice President!
